Swarnanjali - Indian Cultural Night 2010

Swarnanjali festival was held by India Cultural Society on 3rd of March 2010. The event took Great Hall as the main location where all the audience was served by loads of Indian cultures. They especially invited Indian Embassy's Executive to come down to watch the event itself. So, I reckon its one of their big events which is held annually.

The 1st Swarnanjali in UNMC held last year, and according to what they said, it yielded a good response from everyone and therefore they made the same event which was predicted to achieve the same response from all. Well, the event was pretty good actually with the fact that loads of people came over to attend and watch that night.

The first show would be a peacock dance,

and next, the vice president of ICS, Dinesh Krisnamoorthy, who is no other my classmate as well, played veena, such a traditional music instrument from india.

as the next show was, a lady from bangalore, invited to introduce India's traditional music played by violin.

a comedy yet awesome drama performed by students in UNMC. The story was about a king who wants to find fiancee for his royal daughter, which in the end pick his worker as his daughter's fiancee. The hidden message behind the story was, money and title is nothing without kindness and good heart.

Some dances performances after that,

a band performance conducted by Shahrukh Adnan as vocal, JK Prasad in drum kits, as well as Joel Thomas in guitar stunned the audience due to their performance.

last but not least, Indian foods were SERVED!!!
and the last photo is photo of 2 friends of mine from east malaysian. Allison Sabrina and Rafeah Serbini, they looked pretty stunning, arent they?

That's all about Swarnanjali night.
